Since there archaeological investigation about the native symbols of Costa Rica and their visual language is so technical, children don’t know the way these symbols worked, their meaning or how were they linked. So, my project proposes to improve children knowledge of our own culture through the visual language of native symbols.

Some questions:

  • How to communicate to children the native visual thinking?
  • How to show up the symbols alphabet and its structure?
  • What were the colors used in native symbols?
  • What kind of hierarchies the symbols used to have?
  • How to match children thinking with native visual thinking?
  • How to link native symbols to environmental ethic values?
  • How I can give them opportunity to build a new structure meaning based on native symbols?
